But you can all say I hate it or whatever you want. When we played against Bama in the national championship, I knew coach Day wasn’t the solution and at halftime he didn’t say a word to the team, went to the office and started blaming the other coaches.

Ohio State hasn’t had the opportunity to compete for a national championship since, as Day’s team suffered a surprising 13-10 loss to Michigan on Saturday, effectively eliminating the Buckeyes from Big Ten championship game contention.

Johnson was at Ohio State in 2019 and 2020, recording eight tackles in 11 total games. HE transferred He committed to Nebraska after the 2020 season and participated in two combine contests with the Cornhuskers from 2021-22.

Although Johnson broke the story about Day during the CFP championship game against the Crimson Tide, it wasn’t the first time he expressed doubts about the Buckeyes’ head coach.

After a 30-24 loss to the Wolverines in 2023, he wrote on social media that Day “needs to go” and that he won’t win a “big game.”

Ryan Day needs to go. He can’t win a big game. In every game he should have lost or been questionable, he LOSED.
Buckeye fans deserve a winner. @OhioStFootball

Saturday’s result was a disappointing one, at least for Ohio State; The team’s only other loss of the season was a narrow one-point defeat to No. 1 Oregon on October 12.

After the game against Michigan ended, a fight broke out between players from both teams as the Wolverines attempted to plant their flag over the Buckeyes’ logo in the middle of the field.

Ohio State defeated Michigan in the annual matchup between Big Ten programs every season from 2012 to 2019, but the Wolverines have dominated the rivalry recently.

With Saturday’s win, Michigan has won four straight games against the Buckeyes.
